FULL KIT - Amiga 2000 ATX Adaptor Plate, Motherboard Loom, Plastic Bracket, Molex to Floppy Cables & Screws (Excludes PSU)

This is a full kit, excluding PSU .

The adaptor plate itself, will fit various power supplies, however, the plastic mounting bracket is now on Version 2, which instead of fitting specific PSU top mount fan holes, now attaches below, providing both base support for the weight of the PSU and a generic uprise bracket that is PSU model independent.

This kit has been specifically designed to provide stand-off mounts against the PSU back wall, while allowing the PCB to be attached to the plastic bracket, without screw contact with the power supply chassis.

This kit, includes:

• Metal PSU ATX/SFX adaptor plate (also sold separately on our store)
• White 3D printed V2 generic PSU mounting bracket
• ATX/SFX to A2000 power socket convertor board, including TICK generator
• ATX/SFX PSU to Amiga 2000 Motherboard cable (the one shown attached to the adaptor/tick generator on the White 3D printed bracket)
• A full screw kit, we can not guarantee that this will cover all PSU fitments. (It was initially designed around the Cougar VTE 500 Bronze PSU but should be fairly standard, to most units).
• 1 x Molex to x 2 - 4 PIN Floppy Drive Cables
  
  

METAL PSU ATX/SFX ADAPTOR PLATE

This Amiga 2000 ATX / SFX Power Supply Adaptor Plate, is designed and manufactured by Arymanx using 2mm Mild steel; providing an excellent method of mounting modern ATX / SFX power supply units into the Commodore Amiga 2000.

This adaptor plate, has been powder coated and it is compatible with SFX PSU (small factor) and ATX power supplies.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all ATX units will fit. It depends where the ATX socket / switch is located.

(Please note, the latest adaptor plate revision, provides for the bottom two mounting holes having been moved down .5 of a mm and changing to M4 (from M3) holes. This is due to a small number of Amiga 2000 cases that we have found, whereby the case holes are very slightly different to the majority of models owned. This change will allow a little 'wiggle' room, to accommodate both variations of the A2000 case. The REV1 bracket did still fit both case versions, however, one of the bottom bolts had to be left out (which didn't make a difference) but that no longer needs doing using the modified REV2 bracket / plate).

WHITE PRINTED 3D MOUNTING BRACKET - V2

This bracket was initially designed around the Cougar VTE 500 Bronze PSU (however, the new Version 2 bracket mounts from the A2000 base-frame and stands upwards, making it theoretically PSU model independent). With stand-offs and screws lengths included to avoid PSU chassis contact, this bracket should allow you to use many different PSU versions.

This kit will work with other brands of PSU and since we've moved to the V2 PCB mount bracket, it should be much easier to implement.

ATX/SFX TO A2000 POWER SOCKET CONVERTOR BOA RD INC TICK GENERATOR

As well as physically providing a conversion from the ATX/SFX PC motherboard power cable, to a terminal allowing for the compatible (and included) Amiga 2000 motherboard cable/loom to be connected (the adaptor ships with the A2000 cable/loom pre-connected to the board's terminal block) this board also generates a compatible Tick signal. This allows the user to turn off the A2000's motherboard Tick signal generator and the ATX/SFX adaptor board will handle the task. To do this, you will need to move the jumper on the A2000 motherboard to disable it's built in tick signal. This kit will still work, if you prefer to leave the A2000 to generate the Tick.

ATX/SFX PSU TO AMIGA 2000 MOTHERBOARD CABLE

This is the cable loom that connects to the ATX/SFX power socket adaptor board (the one mounted on the white plastic bracket) and the other end connects to the A2000 motherboard.

We have extensively tested this full kit, with the following specification A2000 over a 3 week period:

Power Supply are NOT included.

This kit has been based around and tested with the following PSU:

- Cougar VTE 500 Bronze 80 Plus PSU - (although now the V2 plastic PCB mount bracket has been designed, the PSU options, should be vast and easy to implement with little to no extra modification)
