KA 21 is hardware solution designed to address the Gayle PCMCIA r eset bug.
The Gayle chip in the Amiga 1200 does not reset the PCMCIA card interface following a system soft reset (i.e a reset performed by holding down the CTRL key and the two Amiga keys on the keyboard).
The result of the above issue, is that some upgrade cards may then not work correctly until the Amiga is physically switched off and on again.
The KA21 Gayle Reset Fix resolves these issues, by generating a forced CC_RESET high pulse from the system reset signal.
The KA21 device is installed directly on the motherboard Gayle chip.
KA21 cannot be used together with Elbox FastATA. The reason for this is that the FastATA has its own board mounted on the Gayle chip
