RetroEZ Game Card / SD Adaptor for Game Boy DMG-001 Mono Screen & Game Boy Color - BLANK (No Games) Inc Micro SD Card

The Nintendo Game Boy original DMG-001 model was a classic, that many of us owned when we were young.

AAA titles from back in the day, were converted to run on a mono screen with that classic Game Boy sound.

Today, the Game Boy DMG-001 can still be picked up in good condition, with many companies online repairing and upgrading faulty units, including enhancements such as IPS higher definition/contrast screens, improved power internals and increased internal audio amplification.

Some of these upgrades (especially the IPS screen upgrade) can draw more power than the stock components. Which in some cases may requires the user to buy a more powerful power supply or a good set of strong high capacity AA batteries.

Through modern advancements, it's no longer necessary to carry bags full of game cartridges with you. It is now possible for you to put image files or rom files of the cartridges you legally own, on to Micro SD storage cards.

This allows you to easily swap between many of your games on the move, without the extra baggage of taking all of your original cartridges with you and having to swap them over manually when, for example, travelling or when visiting friends etc.

The images above: Image 2 shows the cartridge as it is sold. It includes a pre-configured Micro SD card, however, the Games folders on the card are empty. No game files are supplied with this product.

Image 3 shows an example, of a cartridge where image files for games a user legally owns, can be combined onto the one cartridge, via the Micro SD card. This is an example only, there are no games on the product we are selling.

Images 4 & 5, show an example, where we have placed an image file for a game cartridge we legally own, that came with a second hand Game Boy we purchased for testing, copied on to one of the blank cartridges that we are selling and then successfully launching and playing that game. There will be no games installed on this product when you purchase it from us.

To reiterate, the product you receive will include a pre-configured Micro SD card and Game Boy cartridge, with folders for GB Europe (GB_E) and GB_USA (GB_U) versions of game files. There are no actual game files on the cartridge. You must place your own game files in the relevant folders, based on cartridges that you legally own. There are folders for GBC (Game Boy Colour) image files too, please see the above test screen shots, showing the same functionality on the Game Boy Color.

Game Boy only shown in pictures for reference, no Game Boy handheld console is included with this purchase.
