PLEASE NOTE: The plastic xStation insert covering the SD card slot, where the CD mechanism used to be, is sold separately by RetroEZ as a cosmetic add-on.

This plastic cover, is not included with the xStation as standard and is not needed for the xStation to work properly. The pictures are only to show what a fully finished installation can look like when the cover is added.

The xStation is an exciting product that allows users to run image files of games that they legally own, on the Sony PlayStation 1 from modern Micro SD storage cards. This replaces the CD drive and laser mechanism (which was also often a point of failure on the original PlayStation models) in favour of an easily accessible and low maintenance SD card slot, placing all of your games in one location, to play on demand with no CDs to change over.

Compatibility:

The xStation can be installed in SCPH-100x and SCPH-5xxx series consoles.

Specific motherboard models that are supported are: - PU-7* - PU-8* - PU-18.

Some SCPH-700x models may also use the same motherboards. Please ensure that you check before purchasing. PU-20 motherboards, are definitely not supported.
